Diaspora Dialogues

All POTE (pupil of the eye people of African descent) and a few of our SOTE accomplishes were invited to a 19-Hour Zoom town hall meeting spread across seven days from Saturday, Dec 26, 2020 through Friday, January 1, 2021 Eastern Time (US and Canada). The special “Diaspora Dialogue: Forging Lasting Unity Between All People of African Descent” will be held over the Kwanzaa days between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Friends from the African American, African, Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-Latino communities will share their diverse insights inspired by the principles of Kwanzaa, which was created to unite Black people across the planet who were separated by colonialism.

Bahai Inspired Kwanzaa Celebration was celebrated from December 26, 2020 through January 1, 2021. People of African descent came together for seven days, inspired by the principles of Kwanzaa to reconnect after being separated by colonialism for over four centuries. Our goal was to begin the conversation to heal ourselves from the anti-blackness ideologies that had separated us and was keeping us from coming together and realizing our oneness.
